About the Tutor:

I graduated from Grove City College in Pennsylvania with a double major in History and Social Science Secondary Education.  I taught for 14 years at Christian Leadership Academy, a classical Christian school now located in Bloomfield Hills, MI.  While at CLA, I taught Algebra I & II, Geometry, Logic, Western Civilization, and Latin (3-12th grade).  Because I love young people, I have stayed involved at my old school planning and leading their senior trips to Europe.

I love teaching and being able to teach from a Christian Worldview.  I have always taken seriously the warning in James 3:1:  “Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.”  I know this is specifically about teaching God’s word, but I think it can be applied to all teaching.  I have always been very aware of the overwhelming responsibility I have to God and to my students’ parents for how I model my relationship with Christ to my students.  I am happy to provide my resume and/or references.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.

Additional information:

I live in Richland with my husband, Rey.  We attend Gracespring Bible Church.  There I am involved on the Drama team and teach the 4 and 5 year olds during the MOPS program.
