Art’s Story

Tutor: Lynette Baker

6th grade – 9th grade (Meets every week at KAT)

This class will take a broad overview of history through art. The class will explore a wide variety of art media with an emphasis on the fine arts. Students will have weekly homework assignments including quizzes.  Students will need to do age appropriate research, map, reading ad writing skills.  Class time will focus on creating our own art pieces that go along with their homework study to better expand the student’s knowledge of the elements of design and techniques of production.


$60.00 materials/rent fee per 1st semester, and $160 class fee due on 1st day of class per semester ($220)

*First Semester $60.00 materials fee is due upon registration and is not refundable

$30.00 materials/rent fee per 2nd semester, and $160 class fee due on 1st day of class per 2nd semester ($190)

Tutor Background:

I have and Elementary Education degree with an area of concentration in Art from the University of Illinois.  I have used my job for teaching in various occupations over the years from working with the Anita Purvis Urban, Illinois Nature Center, teaching science at a KPS elementary school for many years to now doing home schooling to name a few.  I have always had a passion to work with young people.  Education has been a calling from God and never just something I do as a job.  I look forward to the opportunity of working with your child(ren).
